We have had some big weeks since we got back from break! Last week we finished up our benchmark middle of the year testing. The kids all worked so incredibly hard! They had to do testing for reading, writing, science, social studies, and math. This week we started back with all of our regular schedule and instruction. We focused on /ea/ and /ee/ as ways to make the long e sound. The kids spent time during their read to self time of the day to "hunt" for /ea/ /ee/ words to add to the chart. We also used our doubles facts to do subtraction. Below is a power point we used to help learn about the moon. Feel free to use it to review for the test on Monday (a big thank you to Mrs. V. for making this). It includes a little about the sun, but our focus is the moon. This power point was used with a unit from a few years ago but the information about the moon still works with what we are learning. |

On Friday we celebrated the 100th day of school! It was such a fun day! We did stations in each room. Our stations were: ~build a cup structure using 100 cups ~use the numbers 1-0-0 to make a picture ~100 snack mix ~roll to 100 ~make a 100 day hat ~100 fruit loop necklace ~100 gum balls in a machine I have included pictures below so everyone can see all the fun we had! I promise that one of these days I am going to master the photos being right side up. :) |
