You can tell it is the time of year where everything gets very busy! I am just going to do a quick update from the past 3 weeks using mostly pictures.
Disclaimer: we have reached the craziest part of the year so there may be less posts.
We got to have a lesson taught by our teacher cadet, Miss Davis, and she did a fabulous job of helping us review <, >, and =.

We used a giant 120 chart to help us learn about counting by 10's and then worked with partners to practice using a worksheet. We also spent time in math learning about measurement. We focused on non-standard measurement so we would use our shoes to measure how tall classmates are, measured the carpet using classmates, and used cubes to measure objects in the room.
This week was also our music teacher, Mrs. Brown's birthday! We used her for a special morning meeting where we used adjectives to describe her.
For Earth Day the school had a wall display contest and First grade won! We were so excited!
And speaking of winners, last month all the classes in the school made a Young Author book to showcase their writing. I am excited to share that our class winner was also the grade level winner! Congratulations to our amazing author! All the kids worked so hard! Here is a picture of our winner showing off her winning piece of writing!
