This week we did a lot of fun activities. We had a special surprise but it was "stolen" by the "Candy Corn Bandit" and we had to follow clues through the school to find out where they had hidden it. We also had a safety fair where the Belton Fire Department came and shared with us about fire safety.
The first nine weeks of school are always super busy. Hopefully, since we have settled into a pretty good groove I will be able to get the updates on the blog on a weekly basis. Below are several videos that we have used in class to help with learning story elements, friends of ten, and inferring information using clues in a text. In math we have been working really hard on building our fact fluency and number sense. We have been focusing on numbers 1-10. The kids have really been enjoying learning all of the games (shake and spill, penny for your thought, cup line up, and make a ten memory match up).
the picture below is of us playing make a 10 memory match up with giant playing cards. I have also included a few pictures of them playing partner domino make a number game. |
